Where the mountains sweep down to the sea
The Mayo News reports that there was a landslide on Clare Island just before Christmas 2006.  Tonnes of peat and rocks slid down Knockmore Mountain towards the sea, leaving an impressive scar on the mountainside. The full report on the landslide is available on the Mayo New’s website.
